History

The IPKS engineering company for data processing was founded in 1981 by former Siemens employees who brought with them a profound knowledge in plant and automation engineering. During its first years, the company focused on consulting, training and project management.

With the formation of IPKS Software Development GmbH in 1986, the company established itself as a software house and expanded its workforce.

While providing software development services initially, IPKS quickly gained expertise and was soon responsible for the implementation of complete software engineering projects, acting as a subcontractor of Siemens Corporation. Between 1990 and 2000, IPKS was responsible for the development and maintenance of the operator control and monitoring systems COROS LS-C and COROS IS-C on behalf of Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D).

In order to be able to offer our customers complete Level 1 and Level 2 solutions, IPKS established in 1992 the company subsidiary InTec Industrie Automation GmbH for the design and maintenance of automation solutions.

During the following years, the company expands its project business and establishes itself as a solution provider for logistics systems.

The year 1995 sees the successful pilot installation of the SICOMP Emulator M2000 based on Windows NT at several customer plants, which is a first demonstration of the Company’s know-how and professionalism in the design and implementation ofmigration systems. The development of a migration solution for COROS LS-ME in the year 2003 and for Teleperm systems in power stations in the year 2004 illustrates our continuing success.

Because the portfolios of IPKS GmbH and its subsidiary inTec GmbH complemented ideal and to use the synergy effects better, inTec GmbH was taken over by IPKS GmbH in 2013.
Integrated automation, from control technology to basic automation is supplied to our customers from one single source.
